What is the methodology behind TriZenter?
TriZenter was developed to leverage Instructional Geography™ (IG). IG is an innovative, cutting-edge presentation methodology, and the first new presentation methodology since PowerPoint. It is the most revolutionary multimedia delivery methodology available today for sales managers, public speakers, trainers, leaders or anyone who makes presentations.
What is IG?
IG integrates proven learning and communication theories and neurosciences concepts into a holistic system that leverages naturally occurring human processes. It is based on three key principles:
§ The learners’ visual space must be fully utilized.
§ The mind needs visual, auditory, and spatial cues to aid understanding and retention.
§ The brain absorbs information best when it is presented in logically ordered, bite-size chunks.
With these principals in mind, IG emphasizes strategically placing information in space and time to create a holistic learning environment. TriZenter applies the IG concepts in a practical way for improved results. It chunks or divides up information, integrates sensory cues, and then displays content on three screens where ordinarily there would be only one.
IG fundamentally improves the way information is displayed, presented, and anchored for maximum impact with any audience.
• The brain synthesizes the data presented into a whole picture that is easier to remember. Why? Because the brain naturally seeks to link or correlate bits of data in order to remember them more efficiently. If data bits are presented sequentially (as in a conventional slide show), they may never be linked in learners’ minds because they’re viewed individually. Utilizing IG and TriZenter, the information can be viewed simultaneously, strengthening the connection between the information
• IG maximizes not only the geography of learners’ brains, but also the geography of the room. A person seeing a single screen is focused on about 20% of the space in front of them. However, they’re still subconsciously acquiring and storing two to three times that much information from their peripheral vision. This visual “noise” dilutes their focus. Projecting 200% more information simultaneously automatically takes mechanical advantage of the full visual space.
Instructional Geography creates a holistic learning experience that simply can’t be matched by any other presentation method available today. We know from research that it produces tangible improvements in interest, retention and recall, as compared to traditional presentation methods. Results from a number of research studies on TriZenter have been overwhelmingly positive and validate TriZenter in both business and educational settings and across different cultures. The results prove that IG is quite popular with learners and significantly impacts learning in a positive manner.
